About Us

Corporate Caterers was founded by Dennis McGinley and Jim Gass in 1997.

They each brought over 25 years of restaurant management and catering experience combining their talents to open the first Corporate Caterers in Miami Florida. Dennis and Jim both observed a new trend in corporate sales and marketing techniques where businesses were buying breakfast and lunches to entertain clients and their staff while they were demonstrating or selling a product. This fresh new approach demanded a caterer who understood the importance of great food, appealing presentation and very reliable service. The Corporate Caterers idea was a success and continued to grow and expand into new areas. In 2000 the company recruited Elda McGinley who brought many years of experience and a valuable reputation in office management and wholesale contract food purchasing. Elda’s experience helped us develop our business operations and office management systems to be very compatible with the high-tech corporate world, how it works and how it thinks. In early 2002 Corporate Caterers opened their second facility in Boca Raton Florida providing their services to a whole new market in the Palm Beaches.

In 2008 Corporate Caterers leaped ahead in growth spreading across Florida. Our catering system worked well and grew from 2 locations to 8 locations in two years. We proudly opened our 3rd corporate store location serving Ft. Myers and Naples on the southwest coast of Florida. With the help of franchising and our new family of franchisees, 5 more locations have opened proudly serving and promoting the Corporate Caterers brand. These locations are Tequesta / Jupiter Florida, Tampa Florida, Jacksonville Florida and Orlando Florida (coming soon). Locations outside of Florida include Atlanta Georgia and Columbus Ohio. The entire Corporate Caterers staff and franchise families have worked hard to develop a new franchising program. Now others have the opportunity to use the Corporate Caterers concept, brand and proven systems in other available metro markets by purchasing a franchised package. This package includes strong training programs and the ability to join the office catering business in top form with a team of experts behind you.

The goals of Corporate Caterers were idealistic: low start-up costs, limited overhead costs, shorter business hours, good profit margins, loyal employees and happy clients. The house “rules” were straight forward: only breakfast and lunch catering five days a week – weekends off; only business and corporate clientele – no private parties, no nights; and a small, well-trained staff offering only off-premise catering with great food, presentation and service.

Over ten years and millions of dollars in sales later, Corporate Caterers has achieved the goals, kept the ideas they set out for themselves, and continues to grow profitably. They have personal lives, weekends off, and a healthy business outlook for the future.
